Why new chairs?

This isn't about making our auditorium bigger or adding more seats.

It's simply time to replace what has been serving our church since 2010.

If you've been around Bay Shore for a while, you've probably sat in one of our chairs.

They've been here for Easter Sundays, Christmas services, worship nights, baptisms, weddings, kids growing up, life-changing messages, prayers, tears, laughter. Countless ordinary Sundays where people simply gathered together as the church.

They've served us well.

But after 16 years of faithful service, our chairs have seen better days.

They're worn, they're tired, and it's time to replace them.

We need to replace 400 chairs throughout our auditorium so that our space can continue to be a welcoming, comfortable place for our church family to gather for years to come.

And we'd love to do it together.

Chair by Chair

We're calling this Chair by Chair because that's exactly how we hope to do it.

One chair at a time.
One gift at a time.
One person at a time.

Our goal is to raise the funds needed to replace all 400 chairs.

These chairs have been part of our story.

We've laughed in these chairs.

We've cried in these chairs.

We've worshiped in these chairs.

We've heard the Gospel in these chairs.

We've watched our kids grow up in these chairs.

We've celebrated what God has done in these chairs.

They may be worn out, but we're grateful for every year they've served us.

Now it's time to give them a well-earned farewell.
